A Celebration of Life

Rudy Ramirez, 86, of Benicia passed away unexpectedly Sunday in a local hospital.

 He was born just outside San Antonio in Hutto, Texas and lived in Walnut Creek for almost 50 years before moving to Benicia in 2010.

Rudy served in World War II as a member of the United States Army. He was an energetic guy, and inspiration to all, fluent in both English and Spanish and an avid hiker, primarily with the Walnut Creek Seniors.

He worked as a machinist for close to forty years and for the past 21 years, Rudy has been a "Tax Angel" with his daughters at ATS Tax & Financial Solutions.

Rudy is survived by Emma, his wife of 62 years, daughters Sylvia Barata & Nancy (David) Henderson, grandchildren Brandi, Russell, Sean & Chad, and his great grandchildren Dominic and Laylah and his brothers Emilio and Robert Ramirez.

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 10th at the Benicia Veterans Building, 1150 First Street, Benicia.
